How You Can Help:

Our Non-Profit Status
The HeliOS Project is a registered Texas non profit and we sit under the federal non profit umbrella of Software in the Public Interest. Being part of SPI gives us full ability to offer tax deductions while freeing us from the need to administrate a non profit organization.Should you have any questions regarding Software in the Public Interest, please email Ken directly. The "Contact Us" page goes right to his inbox.
That said, there are several ways you can help us do what we do: -
We can always use monetary donations.
Having a warehouse full of computers is a good thing but not having enough money to fill a gas tank and deliver them is not. While we qualify for a number of grants giving us vehicles, office space and equipment, very few foundations allow for discretionary funding. We have the equipment we need, but most often we fall short of the cash by which to operate. As always, your cash donations are tax deductible. You may make your monetary donations via credit/debit card or by mail by clicking the "click-n-pledge" link on this page or simply click here.

Your computer donations are most welcome.
If you have a computer or computer components that you wish to donate, you can click the contact us button and let us know what you would like to do. We will get back with you immediately to make the arrangements. You can learn more about the computers and parts we need by clicking here.

We can always use volunteers.
From the annual Linux Against Poverty event to organizational days and computer lab installations, we can always find a place for you to volunteer. Spanish-speaking volunteers are needed as well. We are currently looking for someone to translate our website into Spanish so if you have the time and talent, we can most certainly put it to use.
